is situated in this beautiful, tranquil and undiscovered part of Brittany, just one and half km from the sandy beaches (a 20 minute walk through lanes and woods). Only 35 minutes from Roscoff or 2 hours from St. Malo, Coat Aillis is the ideal location for family holidays, the full French experience without hours of driving from the ferry ports.

Originally a working farm, now standing in it’s own ground of over two acres, consists of a large farmhouse,heated swimming pool and a small complex of traditional stone buildings which have been tastefully renovated into comfortable gites.

For people interested in out of season holidays the coastline is magnificent to walk we have also five different walks from the gites ranging from an easy half hour to a two hour hike through beautiful countryside and woods.

The farmhouse has 6 bedrooms 2 of which have showers and washbasins. The downstairs TV children's room can be used as an optional 7th bedroom.There is a large well equipped kitchen with a dish washer, washing machine, large cooker, microwave oven, and is generally well kitted out to cater for large groups. The well hedged garden garden gives complete privacy from the world.

On site is a games room with table tennis, pool and childen's toys.

The gites have been tastefully renovated over a period of 8yrs to provide a comfortable stay and relaxing holiday. All of them have open plan kitchens where snacks or serious cooking can be accomplished

Three of the gites have three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with bunk beds or singles. The smaller gite has one double and two singles. Cots and high chairs are available.

The previous owner was a well known communist, famous locally for his war time activities. During renovation work guns were found hidden in the walls of the buildings.
We ( Simon,Paulien and our four children ) arrived in January '93 and have since established one of the most relaxing gite complexes in Brittany.

We are now able to offer 4 gites sleeping 4 - 8 people and a spacious farmhouse sleeping up to 14. NEW for 2002 a family sauna.

Each gite has its own private garden for outdoor eating and BBQ. On site you can relax by our 12 x 6 pool ( covered each night to retain the heat ) a family sauna, a games room with a pool table and table tennis or let the children play in their own play area while you have a game of boule or just relax amidst the cider apple trees in the orchard.
The local beach has an excellent water sports centre where you can hire dinghies, sand yachts or try your hand at wind surfing. Tennis and horse riding are within 5 minutes drive.

For real French flavour we recommend Lannion market and lunch time eating at the "Chateigner", you‘ll not eat again that day.
